Drama: Getting Assessment Right Grades 9 - 12
Assessing student achievement in drama can be difficult. Much drama learning goes on internally and can be hidden from the teacher.
Howvever, the more that students know about the teacher's expectations and what success in drama class looks like, the greater their ability to meet those expectations. Students need highly specific directions about the teacher's expecatations and how success is to be found in drama classes.
The handbook, Drama: Getting Assessment Right: Grades 9-12, is filled with drama assessment tools which give specific drama expectations for students. Teachers using these drama teaching methods come to judgements about student drama achievement in ways that students and parents can understand and accept.
